Lahontan GeoScience has performed numerous Phase I ESA’s for the City of Reno’s downtown redevelopment projects. The results of the environmental assessments are intended to identify recognized environmental conditions including the presence of hazardous substances or petroleum products on parcels to be redeveloped in the older sections of downtown Reno. Recognized environmental conditions are defined as the likely presence of any hazardous substance or petroleum products on a property under conditions that indicate an existing, past, or potential release of products into structures or into the ground or groundwater of the property.
